Their town Charleston, South Carolina was once a haven for pirates and prostitutes. Ironically it has become known as the "Holy City" due to multiple church steeples in the view of its skyline.Charleston has always been an international place of trade. For the past five hundred years people have flocked there to trade not only material things, but parts of their diverse cultures as well. Likewise, “Charleston Ska” is a style of music that borrows elements from many different genres including surf, punk, jazz, blues based rock, and obviously Caribbean roots music. These influences not only make Gölden Palace a formidable rock n’ roll band, but combined they give them an identity in a sound that can be voiced as their own. |
